Amateur Chamber Music Week
Over the week leading up to the Festival, talented musicians of all ages can indulge their passion for chamber music, under the aegis of professional coaches
The Verbier Festival’s Amateur Chamber Music Week offers a unique opportunity. Over the course of a week, participants work with coaches selected form the Verbier Festival Academy alumni as well as Gábor Takács-Nagy, founder of the Takács Quartet and Music Director of the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra, pianist Paul Coker, musicologist Roderick Swanston and coaches from New York’s Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. At the end of their intensive week of music-making, amateur participants will give a concert on the opening afternoon of the Festival.
