Born in Brazil, Caroline Lohmann started her studies in Curitiba with Giampiero Pilatti at the University of Music and Arts of Parana. Being coachted at he same time by Rogerio Wolf in São Paulo. In 2005 she moved to Europe to study in Neuchâtel with Michel Bellavance and Jean-Louis Beaumardier (piccolo), where she obtain in 2008 her Music Performance Diplome. Two years later received her Master of Music with Distintion at the Zurique University of Art (Zhdk) mentored by Philippe Racine, Pamela Stahel (piccolo) and Sabine Poyé-Morel.
From 2010 to 2012 she was Akademist at the Opernhaus Zürich Orchestre. And since 2010 she has been member of the Verbier Fesival, working with the VFO, VFCO, and currently as a coach of the VFJO.
Caroline worked aswell as Principal Flute at the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra for the Season 2012-2013. Currently living in Mannheim, she has a varied freelance career, combining orchestral and chamber music playing. She performs with a great variety of orchestras and ensembles, inlcluding Frankfurt Opera, Dutch Symphony Orchester (Het Ballet) and the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheiland-Pfalz.
