Petr Vasek is the Principal clarinetist of the South Czech Philharmonic. He is also a clarinetist of the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra and has performed with many different orchestras like the Czech chamber Philharmonic, National theatre of Prague, Malaysian Philharmonic, Orchestra della Swizzera Italiana and many others. Petr Vašek got his Master degree as well as soloists diploma at Conservatorio della Della Swizzera Italiana. He is a winner of many international competitions, for instance Carlino clarinet competition, Czech Clarinet Art competition or Leos Janacek international competition. He appeared at many festivals as a chamber player as well as a soloist such as Santander festival, International Summer Academy, International music festival Young Prague or Verbier festival. Petr attended master classes with clarinet players such as Wenzel Fux, Karl Leister, Paul Meyer, Alexander Neubauer, Alessandro Carbonare and collaborated with players such as Radovan Vladkovic, Hanjörg Schelleberger, Klaus Thunemann. Since 2012 he has attended Verbier summer festival and has worked with the greatest conductors as well as soloists and chamber musicians.
