Music Discovery programmes at the Verbier Festival offer free learning opportunities for everyone and for all agesfrom classical music novices to aficionados.  Creative workshops for kids, family-friendly concerts, easy-to digest music appreciation presentations and informative pre-concert chats and conversations are all offered free of charge to inspire and enrich

Petits festivaliers

The Verbier Festival is for kids too! This year, little ones will conduct virtual thunderstorms and create their own musical instruments from garden vegetables!

Monday 24 & Tuesday 25 July : Hip Hip Hopera

Be part of the first musicology course for kids. Within two days of workshop, the young participants will discover, analyse and prepare a musical, funny, off-beat presentation of the Marriage of Figaro Ouverture

Stormwatch

Stormwatch is an interactive, camera-based, single-player installation which allows visitors to create a virtual thunderstorm through gestures. Anyone is able to control sound environments similar to how a conductor shapes the sound of the orchestra.

Storytellers

Family-friendly free performances of stories set to music each Saturday afternoon—an introduction to classical music through a world of imagination.

Rando-musicales

Musical walks through the splendid Swiss Alps accompanied by a live soundtrack. Friday walks include outdoor games for children and their families. Weekend treks explore the sounds of nature: birds, water, insects, clouds and storms—with short performances by musicians of the of Verbier Festival Academy and Orchestras.
