The Hunstein Variations :
A Photographic Record of Glenn Gould
From 17 July to 6 August
Bel-Air Fine Art / Box office
Fest’Off celebrates pianist Glenn Gould’s 85th birthday with the first-ever European exhibition of The Hunstein Variations—a collection of 28 framed photographs. Columbia Records photographer Donald Hunstein captured the creative moments and personality of Gould for over 23 years. He selected these particular photographs as his personal favourites from a collection of thousands of negatives and prints which, taken together, are the largest group of images of Glenn Gould by one photographer. The exhibit was produced in 1992 by The Glenn Gould Foundation, which administers the prestigious Glenn Gould Prize. Don Hunstein died in March 2017.
The Hunstein Variations appear courtesy of The Glenn Gould Foundation,The Glenn Gould Estate and Sony Classical.
