The Firebird
Drawing Contest

Calling all young artists…

This holiday season, let your imagination soar into the world of magical birds, daring princes, and mythical creatures! VF KiDs invites children ages 5 to 12 to create drawings inspired by the legendary Russian tale that inspired Igor Stravinsky’s ballet The Firebird.

Thirteen drawings will be chosen by the VF Kids team and illustrator Marc Philippin. These works will be incorporated into a live-animated film created and screened by Mr Philippin during a concert featuring The Firebird with the Verbier Festival Orchestra and conductor Klaus Mäkelä at the Verbier Festival on 20 July 2025.

All drawings received will be displayed at the Festival.

You could win…

  • One winning design per age category will be chosen by the jury; these young artists will receive three Category B tickets to the concert on 20 July at  Salle des Combins (for one child and two guests), valued at CHF 450.
  • Up to 10 other drawings will also be awarded across age categories; these young artists will each win two Category C tickets for the same concert (for a child and a guest), a prize valued at CHF 180.

Winners will be contacted by email by 15 March 2025.
