Stéphane Logerot

Biography

The son and grandson of celebrated double-bass players, Stéphane Logerot was awarded a Premier Prix for double bass by unanimous decision of the jury at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris in 1991, having studied in the class of Jean-Marc Rollez. He went on to study screen composition, harmony and orchestration with David Angel (Universal Studio).

Stéphane Logerot has composed the music for several documentaries, for chansons and for a feature film (Un Dimanche à Paris for Production Alain Sarde / Canal +). As a valued chamber musician and improviser he has played with groups such as the Borodin Quartet and the Richard Galliano Septet. He is a member of the Orchestre National de France, in which capacity he regularly plays under such conductors as Kurt Masur, Bernard Haitink and Riccardo Muti.
