David Roy

Baritone David Roy is currently studying in the Solo Class of Marek Rzepka at the Hannover University of Music, Drama and Media, following his studies at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz with Adam Zdunikowski. He has received several awards in international competitions, including First Prize at the Bogdan Paprocki Polish National Vocal Competition and the Imrich Godin International Vocal Competition IUVENTUS CANTI, as well as Second Prize at the Ada Sari International Vocal Artistry Competition (with no First Prize awarded) and the Ars et Gloria International Vocal Competition of Sacred Music. He recently made his house debut at the Royal Swedish Opera as Figaro (Il barbiere di Siviglia) and joined the Junges Ensemble at the Semperoper Dresden for the 2025/26 season.
