Samuele Telari


Described as an ‘artist whose overwhelming musicality goes beyond his instrument’ by Il Sole24Ore, Samuele Telari is the First Prizewinner of Spain’s Arassate-Hiria Competition (2018) and Italy’s Castelfidardo Competition (2013). He was selected as a YCAT Artist in 2019.


Samuele Telari’s recent highlights include recitals at the Societa dei Concerti (Milan), Amici della Musica di Padova, Cité de la Danse et la Musique (Strasbourg) and Berlin Philharmonie.  As soloist with orchestra he premiered Enrico Blatti’s Concerto with the State Hermitage Orchestra in St Petersburg and Galliano’s Opale with I Virtuosi Italiani.  In 2017 he released his first CD LIMES.  

Telari’s repertoire ranges from original works for accordion to transcriptions of music by Bach, Mussorgsky, Ligeti and Schubert among many others. He is passionate about developing new music.

Engagements in 2019/2020 include a tour of Spain and recitals for Amici della Musica di Firenze, Festival Nuova Consonanza (Rome), the Royal Conservatoire Birmingham and Wigmore Hall.  

Born in Spoleto (Italy), Samuele is accordion professor at the Conservatory ‘Gesualdo da Venosa’ in Potenza and ‘Bruno Maderna’ in Cesena.
