A New Vision

The Verbier Festival is expanding its reach beyond the summer season with the launch of a new department ‘Verbier Festival Studio’ dedicated to year-round engagement through audiovisual initiatives. This aims to bring the Festival’s signature excellence in classical music to global audiences, offering an immersive digital experience that extends far beyond its traditional live performances. Through high-quality concert recordings, exclusive playlists, behind-the-scenes documentaries, artist interviews, and exclusive content, masterclasses, this department will create a dynamic platform that keeps the spirit of Verbier alive 365 days a year. By harnessing cutting-edge technology and innovative storytelling, it will deepen connections with music lovers worldwide, ensuring that the Festival’s artistic legacy thrives in every season.

We are thrilled to announce that Deutsche Grammophon (Verbier Festival Gold label releasing albums from archives gems), medici.tv (audiovisual recordings of the Festival’s concerts since 2007), Mezzo (curated programming), Apple Music Classical (exclusive playlists and content) and others are already partnering with us, sharing our vision of developing the Verbier Festival beyond the summer season and into a year-round experience. Together, we are shaping a future where the magic of Verbier resonates far beyond the festival weeks.

The Verbier Festival is also embarking on a significant patrimonial and archivistic initiative in collaboration with EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale of Lausanne) to ensure the long-term preservation of its rich artistic legacy. By leveraging EPFL’s cutting-edge expertise in digital archiving and preservation technologies, this partnership will safeguard decades of exceptional performances, masterclasses, and behind-the-scenes moments. This initiative marks a crucial step in documenting the festival’s cultural impact, making its invaluable history accessible to future generations and reinforcing its role as a cornerstone of the classical music world.

Verbier Festival Gold—a joint venture between the Verbier Festival and Deutsche Grammophon— boasts a vast archive overflowing with precious gems captured at the Festival. This record label makes the Verbier Festival experience more accessible to audiences around the world and showcases eminent classical artists, many of them with a close affiliation to Deutsche Grammophon’s Yellow Label, in unusual formations and repertoire.
