Mira Alkhovik

Biographie

Mira Alkhovik graduated from the St Petersburg Conservatory and spent a year at University of Music and Performing Arts Graz studying with Elena Pankratova. She is now a member of Swiss Opera Studio in Bern. Mira sang her first major role, Mademoiselle Silberklang in Der Schauspieldirektor at the Opera Conservatory theatre at age 20. She sang several productions there, the most important being Blanche (Dialogues des Carmélites), Nanetta (Falstaff), Despina (Così fan tutte). Last year, she made her debut as Pamina in Die Zauberflöte at Berlin Opera Academy’s OperaFest international festival in Switzerland. Mira won the Grand Prix at the 2021 Enesco Competition (Paris), First Prize in St Petersburg’s International Lied Competition (2020), an Honorary Diploma from the Jean Sibelius International Competition (Finland, 2018) and a ‘Young Talents’ award from the City of Saint Petersburg in 2014.
