Biographie

Tianyou Ma has been a top prizewinner at numerous international competitions, including the Sendai International Music Competition, Menuhin Violin Competition (where he won the Bach Prize), the Postacchini Competition, the J.S. Bach Competition and the Chicago Violin Competition. He has also been awarded full scholarships for all his studies. He was a single study student at the Elder Conservatorie of Music, where he studied with Keith Crellin from 2010 to 2013; a student of Diana Galvydyte starting in 2014 at The Yehudi Menuhin School, and, since 2019, he has pursued his undergraduate degree under full scholarship from the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where he studies with Pamela Frank and Shmuel Ashkenasi.
