Discover the playful and poetic tales of a king who forbids music in his kingdom — and then learns to love it. Narrated by Marthe Keller, this French-language performance invites children from six years old on a magical musical journey.

Once upon a time, a grumpy and jealous king ruled a tiny kingdom of musicians. He hated music and banned all notes from being played. How can you live without music when harmony breaks and breath fades?

Based on tales by Mathieu Laine and set to music by Karol Beffa, these playful and poetic stories explore the magical power of music. With narration by Marthe Keller, accompanied by Karol Beffa on piano, Edoardo Grieco and Francesco Massimino from Trio Concept on violin and cello, and clarinetist Mebrakh Haughton-Johnson, this enchanting performance invites families to experience music’s joy and transformation together.
