This mini masterclass is designed for budding music-lovers who want to understand what really happens during a dress rehearsal. What’s the conductor doing? Why do musicians repeat the same passage over and over? After the session, children head to the Salle des Combins to experience a live rehearsal and see the orchestra at work. A fascinating moment for curious 9- to 12-year-olds, each accompanied by a parent. The workshop is designed for a small group of five children.
The day after this workshop, on Sunday 27 July, kids and their parents will attend the dress rehearsal of the Verbier Festival Orchestra, conducted by Manfred Honeck with Gautier Capuçon on cellom, at Salle des Combins. The meeting point is at 09:45 in the Pavillon des Combins.
