This mini masterclass is designed for budding music-lovers who want to understand what really happens during a dress rehearsal. What’s the conductor doing? Why do musicians repeat the same passage over and over? After the session, children head to the Salle des Combins to experience a live rehearsal and see the orchestra at work. A fascinating moment for curious 9- to 12-year-olds, each accompanied by a parent. The workshop is designed for a small group of five children.
The day after this workshop, on Wednesday 30 July, kids and their parents will attend the dress rehearsal of the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Gábor Takács-Nagy with Antoine Tamestit on viola and Pierre Génisson on clarinet, at Salle des Combins. The meeting point is at 09:45 in the Pavillon des Combins.
