Marcelina Peek began her music education as a pianist, completing both levels at the School of Music before turning to sound directing. She is currently studying at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where she specializes in sound direction. Marcelina has collaborated with a range of artists and ensembles, including Trebunie Tutki, Immortal Onion, Sinfonia Varsovia, Piotr Pawlak, Maciej Wieczorek, and Daniel Mieczkowski. Her training has included placements at the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra and other cultural institutions, as well as work at the Warsaw Autumn Festival.

Aoqi Deng received his undergraduate and graduate education in Tonmeister programmes at the Communication University of China and McGill University, respectively. During his undergraduate studies, he won first prize in the Chinese Student Recording Competition for two consecutive years. In 2024, he was awarded a bronze medal in the AES Student Recording Competition in Madrid. Aoqi focuses on music recording, particularly in the field of classical music. He has worked as an assistant recording engineer at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in China and, since 2023, has served as a concert recording engineer at McGill University’s music production department. He also teaches recording and mixing, and has led workshops as an instructor at the Tsinghua University High School Summer Music Camp.

Henry Armfield is completing his final year of the Audio Sciences Master’s programme at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, where he is the first student to hold the department’s head Graduate Assistantship for two consecutive years. A self-taught oboist, he earned his Bachelor of Music in Oboe Performance and Recording Arts from Peabody in 2024, studying with Nick Stovall, principal oboist of the National Symphony Orchestra. He is a recipient of the Evergreen House Foundation Scholarship and, in 2023, represented Peabody in the Audio Engineering Society’s Student Recording Competition, earning a ‘Silver’ award for his recording of the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra. His recording interests span classical and contemporary genres, with a focus on live acoustic performance. Henry is passionate about concert production and brings a strong work ethic and commitment to musicality to his work as a young audio engineer.

Jan Olejniczak is a graduate in Sound Engineering from the Łódź Academy of Music and is currently in the final year of his Master’s studies in Classical Music Sound Engineering at the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. As the author of interactive multimedia installations showcased at events such as the Musica Moderna Festival in Lodz and the Warsaw Autumn International Festival of Contemporary Music, Jan is looking for different ways of representing movement in sound. He has been associated with the Lodz Film School for many years, working on film sets and in post-production. His interests span classical and contemporary music recordings and sound creation in audiovisual forms. He is also fascinated by interactive sound and sonification, which he explores in his scientific work.

Christian Aylward, a German/British audio engineer, grew up playing piano, drums and guitar, which expanded into songwriting and audio engineering. He graduated from the Royal Conservatory of the Hague with a Bachelor of Music ‘Art and Sound’ with a minor in composition. During his studies, he increased his audio engineering and language skills through an exchange semester at the CNSMDP in Paris. In 2019, Christian completed a six-month audio engineering practicum at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, further honing his engineering craft and professionalism. Since September 2023, he has been pursuing his Master of Music degree in Sound Recording at McGill University in Montreal. During the 155th Audio Engineering Society convention, Christian successfully represented McGill University, earning a ‘Gold’ award in the Student Recording Competition.

Victoria Barroso, born and raised in Toulouse, France, began her musical journey at 12, focusing on piano and music theory. At 14 she began Conservatory studies in double bass While majoring in music in high school, she broadened her interests to include music production. In 2021, she enrolled in McGill University’s Sound Recording programme, graduating from the Qualifying Year in 2022 and advancing to the Master’s program in 2023. That same year, she showcased her skills as a sound and video engineer at the soundSCAPE music festival in Blonay, Switzerland. Victoria’s dedication and creativity continue to shape her impactful career in music production. 

Vincent Mons began his musical career playing the classical guitar, and went on to study audio recording at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional d’Annecy. Further studies at the École Louis-Lumière in Paris introduced him to the world of film and radio. At the same time, he developed his record and concert recording activities. It was then that he joined the sound team of Kali Son for the Verbier Festival, subsequently handling the audio post-production. A stint in Canada with The Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity’s audio programme confirmed his desire to continue in this direction. On his return to France, he joined the network of independent sound engineers for classical recordings. Since then, he has worked in Europe for a number of labels, both as a recording engineer and producer, adding artistic direction to his work.

Music has been part of Jeremias Thiele’s life since an early age. He began trumpet at age 8 and pursued both instrumental and voice studies, as well as music theory, history and choral conducting. After a short period away from music to study architecture in Berlin, he returned to his first passion to study sound engineering in Vienna at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst à Vienne (MDW). After only his first year, he regularly recorded independently for a wide variety of ensembles, and after this third year of studies, he began a specialisation in classical music recording. He now continues his studies in Vienna at MDW and in Paris at CNSMD.

Rebekka Homburg’s interest in classical music recording is began with her own violin, piano and voice studies and performances as a soloist and ensemble member from an early age. She has studied sound engineering at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna (MDW) and, beginning in fall 2023, will take part in an Erasmus year at the Universität der Künste (UdK) in Berlin. While the primary focus of her studies is music recording, she is also studies film sound. She has received scholarships of merit from the MDW and the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes.

Marta Hinderer is a sound engineering student from Warsaw, Poland. She received her Bachelor degree from the Chopin University of Music, and is currently studying in the École National Supérieure Louis Lumière in Saint-Denis, France, as part of the Erasmus+ programme. Her main focus is sound in film, but she also participates in recordings, which she has conducted in Poland, France, Germany and Switzerland. Above all genres, Marta enjoys recording classical music. From 2020 to 2022 she has developed her phonographic skills as a member of the Music Multimedia Management Project organised by the Szczecin Philharmonic. As a part of this programme she had individual tutoring sessions with Moritz Bergfeld, a head of Coviello Classics label, with whom she now often collaborates. In her time at the Chopin University of Music, Marta received multiple scholarships for academic performance.
