Experience the extraordinary artistry of Japanese pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii, making his unforgettable debut at the Verbier Festival in 2022. Blind since birth, Tsujii has captivated audiences worldwide since winning the Gold Medal at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2009. Described by The Observer as “the definition of virtuosity,” his performances are a profound testament to the power of music to transcend boundaries. At Verbier, Tsujii delivers a dazzling program featuring Chopin Piano Sonata No.3, alongside works by Liszt and Beethoven Moonlight Sonata. Nobuyuki Tsujii, The Verbier Debut Recital is available on Apple Music Classical from 18 July 2025, the release includes an exclusive commentary track by Nobuyuki in Japanese that will be featured only in Japan. The album includes works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Franz Liszt, Frédéric Chopin, and Richard Wagner in a recital recorded live at the Verbier Festival in 2022.
Apple Music Classical has introduced an exclusive new listening guide feature to their iOS app. It takes users inside notable works as they listen, highlighting details and explaining the work in real time as it unfolds, phrase by musical phrase. This listening guide will be available for Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata of the album exclusively on Apple Music Classical.
