Biography
Trio Chagall was founded in 2013 by Lorenzo Nguyen, Edoardo Grieco and Francesco Massimino within the Conservatory of Music “G.Verdi” of Turin. The Trio, named as a tribute to the painter Marc Chagall, now studies with Rainer Schmidt and Anton Kernjak at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel and, since last year, is a ProQuartet Ensemble in residence in Paris. Also in 2023, Trio Chagall was awarded First Prize at the Schoenfeld International String Competition in Harbin, China and was a winner at the 2023 Young Concert Artists Trust international auditions at the Wigmore Hall. The ensemble maintains a busy concert schedule across Europe, Kuwait, China, and Japan, performing in prestigious venues such as the Wigmore Hall, Harbin Grand Theatre, Teatro Verdi in Trieste, and Teatro la Fenice in Italy.
