audience relations team
Mainstage
Members of the Audience Relations Team will be on-hand to meet and greet the audience, at the Festival’s Mainstage venues – Salle des Combins, Église de Verbier and the Cinéma – assisting with entry into the venues by scanning reservation codes and answering any queries.
Further responsibilities include showing VIPs to their reserved seats, informing the public about current Festival events, directing audience members within the venues, ensuring an enhanced experience, assisting guests with specific needs, including those with reduced mobility or disabilities, ensuring there is no unauthorised photography or recording, ensuring that audience members enter and exit the venues only at appropriate times, aware of emergency procedures and safety instructions, acting as a liaison by relaying questions or feedback to the Festival leadership.
Members of the Audience Relations Team ensure that all Festivalgoers entering an open-rehearsal are accounted for. Whilst reservations are not required, it’s important to oversee how many audience members are present.
PERKS: Members of the Audience Relations Team are in direct contact with both concertgoers and the Festival team. They are also able to enjoy the concerts and open rehearsals.
PROFILE: You are first point of contact for concertgoers, with a reassuring smile and an eagerness to assist, embodying the Festival’s spirit of gracious hospitality. You have a background working as an usher at the Verbier Festival or at another Festival or performance venue. Your personable, patient, and responsive nature makes you stand out. You are an effective team player with outstanding customer service skills, thriving in a dynamic environment. A full period commitment to the Festival is highly valued and considered favorably in the selection process. Proficiency in multiple languages, particularly French and English, is a plus.
Academy (Masterclasses)
Academy Masterclasses are always very popular. The Academy Audience Relations Team will be on-hand to meet and greet the audience, assisting with entry into the venues and answering any queries.
Volunteers will remain on-hand throughout to ensure the smooth running of the Masterclasses. Responsibilities include greeting and welcoming guests at Masterclass entrances and within the venues, showing VIPs to their reserved seats, informing the public about the current Festival events, directing audience members within the venues, ensuring an enhanced experience, assisting guests with specific needs, including those with reduced mobility or disabilities, ensuring there is no unauthorised photography or recording, ensuring that audience members enter and exit the venues only at appropriate times, aware of emergency procedures and safety instructions, acting as a liaison by relaying questions or feedback to the Festival leadership.
PERKS: You will have contact with Academy professors, programme coordinators and students, as well as the Verbier Festival Academy team. You will be able to attend Masterclasses and open rehearsals.

The UNLTD is a creative laboratory that amplifies music across genres—sparking curiosity and connecting generations. This inventive concept, powered by the Verbier Festival, serves as a beacon for musical innovation and a platform for emerging talents, inspiring communities and audiences in Verbier during the summer. Since the re-imagination of the “Fest’Off” programme in 2018, UNLTD has evolved into a vital component of the Verbier Festival.
As a UNLTD volunteer, you will play a crucial role in this artistic endeavour. Making artists feel at home is essential for a great performance. As a member of the Volunteer Backstage Crew Support in the Artist Lounge, you are entrusted with the responsibility of preparing artist dressing rooms and ensuring that every need is met with thoughtful attention to detail. Your role is key to providing artists with a sanctuary where they can relax and focus before taking the stage.
PERKS: This position offers the unique privilege of being in close contact with the world-class artists appearing at the Festival. You’ll be part of a vibrant backstage community, contributing to the success of each performance through your direct support of the artists’ experience.

Volunteer Mainstage Screen Broadcasting Operator
Mainstage Screen Broadcasting is a critical component in enriching the concert-going experience at the Salle des Combins. This role ensures that the video broadcasts start promptly before and after each concert, as well as during intermissions, offering a continuous visual narrative to complement the live performances. As a volunteer responsible for these broadcasts, your timely execution is crucial for maintaining the rhythm and flow of the Festival’s audiovisual presentation.
PERKS: This role provides invaluable direct contact with our technical team and affords you the privilege of experiencing the performances firsthand. You will be at the center of the action, able to attend concerts at the Salle des Combins and witness the result of your work as it enhances the audience’s experience.

press & communications
Volunteer Press Coordinator Support
Each summer, the Verbier Festival hosts journalists from around the world. Our volunteer work closely with the Press Coordinator to assist journalists during their visits, from giving directions to arranging complimentary tickets. Every day, they carry out a press review to find the articles published and update the daily press clippings.
PERKS: You learn how a busy press office functions during a major international cultural event, and are in close contact with journalists, artists, press attachés and members of the Press Coordination team.
PROFILE: You have studied or wish to study communications or journalism, and have an interest in classical music. Well-groomed and presentable, comfortable with engaging in a diverse cultural setting. You are professional, efficient and flexible, with strong interpersonal and public relations skills. Speaking several languages (including French and English) is a plus.

Volunteer French to English Translator
Most of the Festival communication is undertaken in both French and English. We are looking for volunteers to translate texts from French to English at a very high standard.
In the role of Volunteer French to English Translator, you play a pivotal part in this process. We rely on your linguistic expertise to ensure our messages resonate as powerfully in English as they do in French. Your role is to ensure that our message greets the audience first thing in the morning, requiring an early riser who can energize the Festival atmosphere before the day’s events begin. From posting signage that guides and informs to distributing programs that enrich the guest experience, your day starts early. You’ll set up the press center, confirming that every detail is prepared for the day ahead, and manage the inventory of communication materials to maintain a constant stream of engagement. Your role also includes handling deliveries and ensuring that all promotional activities proceed without a hitch.

volunteer information office
As an Information Officer, you are the Festival’s communicative lighthouse, providing guidance, promotional assets and information at various information points, adeptly managing the Festival’s central telephone service, and meticulously handling the lost & found registration. Stationed strategically at the bustling heart of the Festival—moving to the Esplanade of the Salle des Combins before weekend concerts—you ensure every inquiry is met with knowledgeable and courteous service.
The information officer is also in charge of the mobile information point, the collection and the lost and found registration point.
PERKS: You’ll be the initial point of contact for Festivalgoers, immersing you in the Festival’s daily pulse and granting you the opportunity to attend concerts in the evenings, after fulfilling your role.
PROFILE:Your extensive knowledge of both the Verbier Festival and the resort is complemented by an outgoing, inquisitive nature, and proficiency in information retrieval. Remaining calm under pressure, you respond with agility and diplomacy. Fluent in French and English, you can effortlessly communicate with a diverse and international audience.
volunteer unltd kids helper
UNLTD Kids, a vital component of the UNLTD initiative by the Verbier Festival, fosters musical curiosity and appreciation among the youth. Through music Initiation workshops and Storytellers sessions -—a programme through which children explore a well-known story set to music by a famous composer—, UNLTD offers children aged 5 to 12 an engaging entry into the world of music, nurturing a passion that can last a lifetime.
As a dedicated member of the UNLTD Kids Animation Team, you will warmly welcome and assist parents and children during our enriching activities, ensuring they are well-informed and comfortably guided through the engaging musical journey that the UNLTD program offers.
PERKS: Volunteering with UNLTD Kids offers a unique experience in the field of music education for children, allowing you to actively engage in fostering a new generation’s love for music. You will also enjoy the diversity and fun that comes with the role, along with the opportunity to attend Festival concerts in the evenings.
PROFILE: You enjoy working with children, rolling up your sleeves, and taking the initiative. Being multilingual, especially in French and English, is an asset. A background in or sensitivity to classical music is recommended. In accordance with Swiss law, a criminal record extract will also be required if you are to be in contact with minors.
volunteer welcome pack team
Creating an inviting first impression is paramount at the Verbier Festival, and our welcome packs are a cornerstone of that experience. As part of the Welcome Pack Team, you will meticulously assemble packages with carefully selected materials for artists, journalists and special guests . You’ll ensure each pack is complete with items tailored to each category of recipient, coordinate the logistics of distribution, and deliver these tokens of appreciation to various locations across the Festival
This position requires your availability a few days before the start of the Festival.
PERKS:This role situates you in the heart of the Festival’s hospitality operations, working in a dynamic environment while forming strong connections with the team. Your mornings will be structured yet brief, giving you ample time to relish the Festival’s vibrant evenings.
PROFILE: You are fast, flexible, creative and organised. Your commitment to this position will be concentrated in the mornings, aligning with the hospitality manager’s schedule. You’re adaptable, resourceful, and ready to engage with the Festival’s dynamic pace. If you’re adept at cycling or driving and can navigate the Festival’s layout efficiently, your contribution may include ensuring welcome packs’ timely and accurate delivery.
volunteer orchestras team
Verbier Festival Orchestra (VFO) Canteen Coordinator Support
The VFO musicians eat their lunch and dinner in the relaxed atmosphere of the orchestra canteen. As part of the Volunteer Orchestras Team, you’ll be the face of hospitality for VFO musicians during their meal times. You are there to ensure that lunch and dinner services run smoothly, providing a friendly and orderly atmosphere. Your responsibilities include managing the canteen space, directing musicians regarding their instruments and seating, and maintaining the canteen’s welcoming environment.
PERKS: You have privileged contact with the VFO team and musicians, and are offered a meal at the end of your shift. You may be accomodated by the Festival.
PROFILE: You are fluent in French and English, show initiative, and enjoy making personal connections. You will be needed for two-hour shifts during lunch and dinner (dinner is not served on VFO concert evenings), bringing your enthusiasm and organizational skills to every mealtime. Commitment is key, starting from 2 July until the Festival concludes on 4 August.
Volunteer Comba School Coordinator Support
The Comba School is the main rehearsal venue for the chamber music concert series, as well as the Verbier Festival Orchestra and the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra. You will assist the coordinator of the school with a number of tasks, such as monitoring the entrance to the school (helping artists find their way around the building), looking after the green coffee corner (washing cups and plates, adding coffee supplies, etc.), helping with recycling, and occasionally opening the building at 8 a.m.
BENEFITS: As a cornerstone of our logistical team, you’ll be instrumental in maintaining the facility’s rhythm, all while soaking in the inspiring presence of world-class musicians.
PROFILE: With proficiency in English and French, you’ll foster a warm and inviting atmosphere. Your initiative will shine through as you manage various tasks alongside the Comba School Coordinator, ensuring the smooth running of the school. Commitment is key, starting from 14 July until the Festival concludes on 4 August.
