Enjoy a collection of wonderful musical moments with the luminous Swedish mezzo-soprano Anne Sofie von Otter, described by Opera Now magazine as “[possessing] one of the most flexible and natural voices among today’s artists.” In these two recorded concerts from the 2007 and 2010 Verbier Festivals, she performs Lieder by Brahms with a finesse and vocal energy that give life to these musical poems.
At the 2010 Verbier Festival, Anne Sofie von Otter, Sylvia Schwartz, Christoph Prégardien, and Markus Werba performed the Liebeslieder Waltzes, a cycle of 18 love songs that Brahms using the texts Polydora, ein weltpoetisches Liederbuch written by the German poet Georg Friederich Daumer.
