- Behzod Abduraimov piano
In his first Verbier Festival recital in 2016, Behzod Abduraimov presents masterpieces of the piano repertoire by Chopin, Schubert, Beethoven, and Prokofiev. Among the highlights of this concert is Prokofiev’s Piano Sonata No. 6, the first of the great triptych “War Sonatas.” The young Sviatoslav Richter, the first performer of the work (apart from the composer himself) said that “I am struck by the extraordinary clarity of style and the perfection of the construction of this music. I have never heard anything like it.”
